Living in a construction zone

We’re on day 3 of Phase 2 of our Master Bath remodel. We’re not  doing a complete gut job. We ripped out the carpet and tiled the floors a few months ago (Yes, during stay-at-home. Construction was allowed to continue. We masked up and quarantined in our offices while the guys did the tiling).  This time we’re doing the shower and will be installing a new vanity counter top.

Fortunately this won’t take too long but it still creates a lot of dust. And noise. I had to escape the noise yesterday. I did a little bit of geocaching, but got a call from my contractor that he needed two more boxes of tile. So I had to cut short my geocaching, and head to Floor & Decor (second trip that day!) to pick them up. Miscalculation on his part.

Today they’re grouting the tile. Just had another discussion if the grout color was right. Online it looks more gray but the design people at F&D insisted that “Frost” was a better choice. At this point I don’t want to make another trip to the store so I’m going to trust the design folks. Crossing my fingers!

Tomorrow we’ll get the counter top. Hoping that’s what we want! Too many headaches. I’m sure it’ll look good but my husband is very picky and he’s not here right now.
